Meet the Founder
Leah Murphy is the founder of Jane Hospitality, a women-led hospitality investment platform specializing in boutique hotels and senior hospitality.
Our founder first started in hospitality at a Marie Callender’s restaurant and later as a dishwasher in an assisted living community — early lessons in dignity, presence, and care.
She spent 14 years advising hotel owners and investors nationwide — valuing and analyzing thousands of keys across $16B+ in hospitality assets during her leadership roles at HVS and Cushman & Wakefield — before founding Jane Hospitality: a women-led investment platform focused on boutique hotels and senior hospitality.
The name “Jane” reflects both her family lineage — a middle name passed through generations — and a long-held admiration for Jane Goodall. A framed photo from Apple’s “Think Different” campaign still hangs in Leah’s office as a daily reminder to lead with courage, care, and clarity.
Jane Hospitality is her response to an industry she loves — and a future she wants to shape: one where the places we stay, age, and heal are rooted in design, integrity, and love.
What Guides Us
We keep our values simple — and steady. These are the questions Jane would ask, the lens we use to build, and the way we choose to show up in the world.
-
Respect
Every detail matters — for people, time, and place.
-
Presence
Hospitality isn’t performance. It’s how we show up.
-
Care
We believe care creates value — for people, teams, and communities.
-
Beauty
Design is how we honor the human spirit. It's not fluff — it's language.
-
Stewardship
We build for longevity, not just growth.
